Visit Porto’s port wine cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Where are the port cellars located?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The vast majority of the cellars are located in the municipality of Vila Nova de Gaia, opposite Porto’s Ribeira district<\/a>, across the Douro. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can easily walk to Vila Nova de Gaia (take the Dom Luis I Bridge)<\/a> or take the metro. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Port wine cellars are mostly located on the banks of the Douro, but some, such as Taylor’s, Graham’s, Croft<\/a> or Cockburn’s are a little further away. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Which port wine cellars should you visit? <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The cellars of Vila Nova de Gaia belong to some\nforty merchant companies, which own\na total of 200 port brands (and account for 90% of the market\n).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Suffice to say that there are plenty of cellars to visit… too much\neven! Faced with this profusion of cellars, it can be hard\nto decide which to visit. This is why Captain Ulysses has\nselected a few Port wine cellars which he warmly recommends!\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
