Staying at Playa Ancon: Hotels & Casas Particulares

While most tourists opt to stay in the beautiful colonial city of Trinidad, if you prefer to stay at Playa Ancon, you’ll find a few hotel resorts available:

However, it’s important to note that the quality of these hotels may not meet everyone’s expectations, and their main advantage lies in their convenient location…

If staying directly at Playa Ancon doesn’t fit your budget, you can also consider casas particulares (private accommodations) located in the seaside villages of La Boca, 7 km / 4 miles from Playa Ancon, or Casilda, 5 km / 3 miles south of Trinidad.

In Casilda, Captain Ulysses recommends two casas particulares:

Beach fleas alert!

Please be aware that, like in many Caribbean destinations, beach fleas can be active at Playa Ancon during sunrise and sunset. It is advisable to avoid the beach during these times and use insect repellent for added protection.
